  I am a scholar of South Asian studies with a focus on the pre-modern history of medicine according to Sanskrit sources. Currently, I am the PI of a research project dealing with epidemics and crisis management in pre-modern South Asia.

• Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

  Following my ongoing project, I plan to widen the perspective and contribute to a collaborative project, either - focusing on forms of crisis in South Asia and adjacent regions throughout time, or - investigating Eurasian connections, similarities and differences regarding topics like epidemics/pandemics, ecological challenges, crisis management, etc. during the pre-modern era in an interdisciplinary way. Open to other suggestions.
