• Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

  We are a research group comprised of mainly linguists and psychologists who are interested in the application of neurocognitive methods (such as EEG or eye-tracking) in linguistic studies. Our current research pursuits include foreign words, negations, and metaphors in language. We are looking for fellow researchers whose interests include language, metaphoric thought, historical linguistics, or who have approached the phenomenon of language from different perspectives.

• Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

  We would like to explore embodied metaphors of a crisis in compared corpora. with special emphasis on gender and identity metaphors. We are looking for partners who would be able and willing to provide linguistic data on words from their respective languages in order to form a central open-source resource on different languages which would serve as a stepping stone for future neurocognitive studies into metaphor processing. We are also interested in conducting comparison studies of historical crises in relation to identity and gender and how they are handled in metaphorical terms across different languages and cultures.
