• Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

  I am a social anthropologist, currently studying how South African black fashion designers construct social memory and imagine futures through their creations. I\'ve also studied the circulation of Southern African heritage blankets in regional and global spheres, and their concomitant transformations of meaning and value. I view these as ways to tackle the legacies of colonialism and the crises brought about by the lack of societal change in the post-apartheid era.

• Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

  I\'m looking for a project that studies the ways asthetic and artistic work or heritage items evoke/ are used to evoke diverse temporal and affective spheres as well as sociocultural meanings and value to tackle societal crises and inequalities.
