climate change; emotions; wellbeing; mental health; heat
My research expertise is in environmental psychology. I have previously conducted cross-cultural research on environmental attitudes and environmental perceptions. I also studied how extreme weather experiences and information exposure shape climate change perceptions. Currently working on climate change emotions, risk perceptions and the link to mental health and pro-environmental motivations, as well as investigating the effects of heatwaves on mental health and wellbeing. I am enthusiastic about mixed-methods research, competent with qualitative methods (content anlysis, thematic analysis) and proficient in advanced multivariate analysis (MLM, SEM, CFA).
I am interested in joining or leading a project that critically analyses how high profile climatic events (e.g., heatwaves, flooding) and/or pollution affect the wellbeing of under-represented or marginalised demographic groups like ethnic minorities, migrants, disabled people, or homeless people. Also interested in projects exploring the intersection of climate (in)justice and wellbeing.
