happiness policy impacts climate change inequality crises
I am an applied economist with an interest in the economic measurement of subjective well-being and its determinants. I have published in the fields of measuring the impact of social policies on happiness and life satisfaction, identifying the effects of economic recessions on subjective well-being, and analysing the impact of economic inequality on well-being. One of my works in progress addresses the impact of poverty and economic deprivation on loneliness and mental health. I am also interested in studying how well-being is affected by climate change and policies directed at mitigating its impact.
I am interested in projects that relate to each of the specific themes mentioned in the call and have some economic component. In particular, I could contribute to projects that advance knowledge on the rigorous statistical measurement of well-being, or study the causal impact of policies or various socio-economic processes (economic crises, political polarization, pollution, carbon pricing mechanisms) on well-being.
