I am experienced in qualitative methods and design science approaches, having a focus 8n human factors, safety and design. I have a Masters in Cognitive Science and PhD in Technology and Health, focused on how to understand complex sociotechnical factors contributing to uptake of innovations I can contribute with deep knowledge about theory and methodology related to Socio-technical systems perspectives, human factors, and systems safety approaches which I believe be of value to projects in this research program. I
Human Factors in Crises, and sociotechnical Perspectives for modeling challenges as well as resilient solutions. First, the socio-technical perspective can examine how the interaction between societal and technical elements has contributed to the genesis, escalation, or resolution of historical crises, providing insights on the intertwined roles of human behavior, technology, and societal structures. Second,, human factors theory, models and methods, which are strongly influenced by research in crises and accidents, can help delve into how individual and group behavior, cognitive processes, and physical capabilities influence the perception, reaction to, and resolution of crises, which can help explore the complex role of cultural and social practices, as well as technological and design interventions . Lastly, the systems safety approach offers a lens to study how safety measures and been developed, adapted, or failed during crises, which can shed light on resilience patterns and provide a basis for crafting better preventive measures and responses in the future.
