  The Center for Philosophy for/with Children, Critical Thinking, and Applied Philosophy of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Maribor brings together the important areas of Philosophy for/with Children, Critical Thinking, and Applied Philosophy. The Center is part of the University of Maribor, Slovenia, which has already participated in numerous Erasmus projects. The following participate in the activities of the Center: regularly employed members of the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Maribor, members of the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ljubljana, members of the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Primorska, Slovenia, and external experts from the departments who participate in research and teaching work. In addition to regular members, domestic and foreign experts and students are involved in the Center\'s activities. Philosophy for children by encouraging collaborative, caring, creative and, above all, critical thinking can significantly contribute to the formation of a thinking, communicative, self-confident and compassionate and socially responsible individual as a member of communities. By encouraging interest in social issues, researching everyday beliefs, critical thinking, reflection of one\'s own values and developing a civilized exchange of opinions, this philosophical approach also significantly improves results on tests of intelligence, reading and learning skills, and advancement in the workplace.
