• Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

  I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Institut d\'Histoire du Temps Présent currently researching on discourse making through material culture in Cuba and Venezuela. I am interested in official and dissident discourses through monumental history in the light of postcolonial debates on statues removal. Therefore, I work on the relationship between heritage and collective memory and approach material culture as sites of memory and conflictual narratives.

• Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

  I would be interested in participating in a project with ethnographic analysis and discourse reception. A consequence of my current research has been the dealing with the diasporic aspect of Cuban and Venezuelan migration and the key role digital culture plays in the emotional attachment with the place of origin. Generally, I would like to contribute to global current debates on memory, emotional contagion, and misery representation in social media.
