  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

    I am an associate professor in Sociology at the Jagiellonian University, Cracow, Poland. I am also an affiliate faculty at Human Flourishing Program at Harvard University (USA). I received her master’s degree in quantitative methods (2003), my doctoral degree is in economics (2008) and post-doctoral degree (habilitation) is in sociology (2016). Last years I have been involved in projects related to public health and epidemiology. My research interests are in methodology including impact assessment and evaluation as well as psychometrics, composite scales, and indicators. My recent projects focus on determinants of positive health and human flourishing. From 2017 to 2021 I was a research scientist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. From 2011 to 2017 I worked for the European Commission Joint Research Centre (in Italy) as a post-doctoral researcher and a research fellow. Between 2010 and 2012 I was appointed an assistant professor at the Educational Research Institute (in Poland). Between 2003 and 2015 I held an academic appointment at the Warsaw School of Economics, as an assistant professor as well as research and teaching assistant. In my career, I have had an opportunity to work with policy makers, international organizations (UN, OECD, WIPO), European Commission agencies (four European Commission Directorates General), foundations (European Cultural Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation), and non-profit international organizations (ENCATC; Sustainable Society Foundation) on multiple interdisciplinary projects. I also served as a scientific advisor for the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound) in ‘the Quality of life in major European cities’ project.   • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

    I am interested in a project that uses quantitative, longitudinal data and aims to examine various determinants of mental health (including dimensions of well-being). I can offer expertise in the areas of statistical analyses, measurement of well-being and determinants of well-being and health. I could also an asset in projects related to organizational psychology as I have been working on implementing well-being programs with business partners. Thanks to my expertise I can also work in education-related projects. My expertise is broad (please check my publication list). After spending 5 years working at Harvard University in the US, I am looking for European partners and would like to join European projects.
