    We are keen to collaborate with researchers who possess a deep understanding of AI companions/social robots and its complexities. Your expertise in working closely with children, young adults, school personnel, student health services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services, and municipalities is invaluable to this project. Additionally, having access to AI companions/social robots specifically designed to offer digital advice, information, and self-help tools that promote healthier lifestyles and enable sustainable choices for children and young adults is highly desirable.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

    We are currently seeking researchers from various countries, including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia*, Czechia*, Estonia, Germany*, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, to collaborate on a research project focused on understanding how AI companions/social robots impact mental health outcomes within the caregiving network of children and young adults. Our goal is to delve deep into the effects and implications of integrating these technologies, raising important questions such as: What potential roles and functions can AI companions/robots fulfill within the caregiving network for children and young adults to promote well-being? How do children, young adults, and caregivers negotiate the boundaries between human and robot caregiving roles and responsibilities during the process of domestication? By weaving these technologies into the fabric of children’s and young adults everyday life, our aim is to explore the boundaries of mental health intervention.
