  My research interests lie in the areas of Cultural Studies and Literary Theory. I work on contemporary Latin American and Spanish literature, with a particular focus on Crime Fiction. My work focuses on the representation of cultural memory, cultural identity and spatial belonging in crime novels and films settled during periods of transitions and crisis.

• Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

  I am particularly interested in (but not limited to) creating a project on the representation of crisis in international crime fiction. The crime genre could be conceived as a cultural medium for the analysis of different types of crises and identity shifting in contemporary society. Using a comparative perspective, the project could address issues such as migration, gender, cultural hybridity.
