Aqueous batteries Zinc batteries Ion insertion materials Computational modelling Electrochemistry
The Electrochemical Energy Storage Group at the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC) in Vilnius, Lithuania was established in 2018 and is working on aqueous ion batteries, preparation of various framework materials such as NASICON type phosphates and hexacyanometallates and their comprehensive structural, morphological, electrochemical, and computational characterization, understanding of electrode materials degradation in aqueous media, electrode and electrolyte design for battery applications. The Group leader Dr. Linas Vilčiauskas has over 15 years of experience working in the field of fundamental and applied electrochemistry, ion conducting electrolytes, fuel cell materials, battery electrode/electrolyte interfaces
We are looking for a potential coordinating partner from the US for a project on electrochemistry-related research which might cover aqueous ion batteries, preparation of various inorganic and hybrid framework materials and their comprehensive structural, morphological, electrochemical, and computational characterization, understanding of electrode materials degradation in diverse media, electrode, and electrolyte design for battery applications.
