We are a young research team from Ukraine working on the synthesis of nanostructured thermoelectric materials by environmentally safe wet-chemical approaches. The project is focused on the design of semiconductor tetrahedrite nanocrystals with further doping and development of nanocomposites with an aim to provide effective nanoengineering methods to boost thermoelectric conversion efficiency. We are looking for teams who are willing to help us assess the electrical and thermal transport of newly developed tetrahedrite nanostructured materials.
TETRAHEDRITE project proposes an innovative concept in the thermoelectricity to achieve an improvement of the ZT for nanostructured tetrahedrite Cu12Sb4S13 system synthesized by polyol-mediated route by means of combining the defect engineering (doping with unexplored elements) and 3D modulation (nanocomposition with semiconductors and metals) strategies to enhance PF and reduce κ.
