  My research interests focus on aspects related to environmental microbiology, biotechnology and conservation. I am particularly interested in the application of modern methods for the identification and study of microbial activity in soil with an emphasis on microorganisms involved in the formation and oxidation of greenhouse gases.

  Topics of projects in which I would like to participate include: anthropogenic influence on GHG cycles in the environment, biological processes of greenhouse gas transformation, agromicrobiology, geomicrobiology, biotechnology (methane fermentation).
