Innovations ecosystems; Technological adaptation
We are a group of innovation researchers from the University of Latvia, specializing in the study of innovation processes and barriers. We are currently looking for cooperation partners - innovation research scientists from the USA, Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic States. Our goal is to build an international network to jointly analyze and overcome barriers to innovation implementation, using multifaceted research methods and promoting knowledge exchange. We invite scholars with expertise in innovation policy, economics, technology adaptation, and sociocultural factors to join our project to jointly promote technological and social progress in our societies.
The research project “Barriers and Constraints in the adaptation of Innovations" is focused on identifying the main obstacles affecting the introduction of new technologies and processes in various industries and countries. It aims to analyze the technological, regulatory, economic, and social barriers to innovation using a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods, including literature reviews, surveys, interviews, and case studies. The planned methodologies also include statistical data analysis and expert focus groups to ensure a deep understanding of these barriers. The expected result is the development of strategic recommendations for policymakers and industry leaders on effective methods to reduce or eliminate these barriers. The research will contribute to the efficiency of innovation by reducing the cost and time required to bring innovations to market.
