  Phillip Davis has led several national-level NSF funded projects to create GIS curriculum and training GIS faculty on open-source software systems. He has led the GIS department at Del Mar College since 2001.

  Project seeks Ukrainian geospatial technology educators to build a community of practice in GIS, Remote Sensing, etc among educators in Ukraine and rest of EU and US academics. This 1-2 year project seeks to create research linkages between Ukraine and EU and US researchers and faculty focusing on open-source software conferences and workshops.
