granular plant matrials; biomass; storage and handling; experiments; discrete element method
We specialize in the properties of granular materials derived from both plant and mineral sources. Our research focuses on the application of experimental and numerical methods, particularly the discrete element method (DEM), to model the mechanical processes involving these materials. This work aims to address significant challenges in agriculture and various industrial sectors, promoting sustainable practices and nature-based solutions.
We are interested in participating in projects that involve the application of experimental and numerical methods to study the processes occurring during the production of granular agricultural materials. This includes the stages of sowing, harvesting, transportation, and storage, as well as the properties of forest and agricultural biomass. We are particularly focused on projects aimed at improving the efficiency of processes involving plant-based bulk materials and enhancing their quality, with an emphasis on sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.
