    AMR; microbiome; antimicrobial resistance genes; environmental microbiology;

  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

    We offer expertise in environmental and agricultural microbiology, microbial ecology, and antimicrobial resistance research. Our laboratory conducts field sampling, microbial community analysis, cultivation-based isolation and identification of bacteria and yeasts, and performs DNA/RNA extraction and library preparation for external high-throughput sequencing services. We have strong expertise in bioinformatic analysis of microbiome and antimicrobial resistance datasets, as well as classical and alternative antimicrobial susceptibility testing. Our methodological background includes microbial cultivation, phenotypic characterisation, biocidal and antibiotic resistance profiling, and functional analyses of microbial stress responses using molecular and biochemical assays. We integrate wet-lab microbiology with data-driven analysis to investigate AMR emergence, dissemination, and microbial interactions within One Health systems.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

    We seek to join a Topic 3. We are interested in projects integrating environmental sampling, farm or other environmental management practices, microbiome and ARG profiling, and AMR risk evaluation. We can contribute completed datasets and methodological expertise to identify AMR, and to map microbial and ARG movement between farm matrices.
