    AMR detection; beta-lactamases; antibody-based assays

  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

We have developed and characterized a large collection of novel antibodies against beta-lactamases, key enzymes conferring bacterial resistance to beta-lactam antibiotics. We offer our expertise in antibody-based assays for rapid detection of these AMR factors.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

We would like to join a consortium addressing the detection and surveillance of AMR factors. Having well-characterized antibodies against beta-lactamases, we are interested to employ the antibodies in different immunoassays and technologies suitable for AMR detection both in medical and veterinary settings. In particular, we could offer our expertise for a project on the development of advanced techniques for AMR detection and their application for AMR monitoring. We collaborate with partners from the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences that have access to clinical samples form animals and can perform bacterial isolation and AMR testing by conventional assays. .
