metabolomics chemical-genetic screens computational biology high-throughput large-scale
My research program centers on elucidating how metabolic regulation interfaces with genetic and pharmacological perturbations, integrating high-throughput experimental methods with advanced computational modeling. My group has developed new quantitative metabolomics techniques and scalable computational workflows that overcome key limitations of existing technologies, enabling large-scale functional inference of genes and the Mode of Action of uncharacterized compounds. By combining CRISPR-based perturbations, non-targeted metabolomics, and automated time-lapse microscopy, we developed a unique framework for dynamic metabolic profiling, yielding insights into drug–gene interactions, novel mechanisms of drug toxicity, and previously unrecognized functions of metabolic pathways.
