  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

As a German community pharmacy with production capacities and experts (Clean rooms, Grade A, final dosage forms, trained specialists), we can contribute to the formulation of personalized medicines consisting of a combination of different phages or of antibiotics with phages (downstream), either derived from different GMP-based production sources or from various phage providers inside the EU if a GMP quality grade is unavailable. Therefore, we can manufacture and supply bacteriophage therapy products as magistral preparations without requiring registration with the German Federal Authority (BfArM). This allows us to produce up to 100 packages per day upon prescription, without the need for clinical trials. We can also offer in-process and final control of the phages produced, in accordance with the Pharm. Eur. or equivalent standards. This includes determining the pathogens’ susceptibility to the respective phage(s) in combination with antibiotics or with other phages (phagogram).

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

As a pharmacy, we intend to produce a set of Geno- and phenotypically characterized phages to be used as starting material for magistral preparations. We are looking for a partner working on bacteriophage therapy as an alternative or complementary antibiotic treatment of infections primarily due to AMR ESKAPE pathogens, but we are also open to other bacterial species. In addition, as we plan to expand our capabilities and provide our biological scientists with state-of-the-art technologies, we are looking for a partner with strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and bioinformatics. Such collaboration would support accelerated identification of optimal phage candidates and access to diverse, well-established phage banks.
