Plasma; hydrogel; plasma-activated hydrogel;
We are developing novel plasma-activated hydrogels for regenerative and antimicrobial applications. This project focuses on the development of plasma-activated hydrogels that incorporate reactive species generated by cold plasma into biocompatible hydrogel matrices. By controlling plasma parameters and gel chemistry, we aim to achieve tunable antimicrobial and regenerative effects, particularly for wound healing and tissue repair.
We are eager to join a multidisciplinary consortium to further develop and validate our novel plasma-activated hydrogel technology in the pre-clinical phase. The project aims to investigate antimicrobial efficacy, regenerative potential, and biocompatibility using relevant in vitro and ex vivo models. By combining plasma science, biomaterials engineering, and biological evaluation, we seek to generate robust pre-clinical data supporting safety, mechanism of action, and therapeutic relevance. The ultimate goal is to de-risk the technology and prepare it for subsequent clinical translation and industrial scale-up
