  • Keywords:

    Nanoparticles; Nanobio interactions; Surface functionalisation;

  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

    Expertise in nanoparticle-based systems, including silica, gold, and polymeric nanoparticles, with a strong focus on surface functionalisation, nano–bio interactions, and smart responsive nanomaterials. Experience in organic synthesis and the design of nanomaterials for drug delivery.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

    I am interested in joining projects that aim to use nanoparticle-based systems as innovative strategies to tackle antimicrobial resistance, particularly by giving new life to existing antimicrobial drugs. I am especially keen on projects where nanoparticles go beyond a passive carrier role, acting as active components of the therapeutic strategy through smart, responsive, or synergistic mechanisms. Projects focusing on nano-enabled combination therapies, enhanced antimicrobial efficacy, or mechanistically driven nano–antimicrobial interactions are of particular interest. I am motivated to contribute to consortia that push beyond the current state of the art and explore how nanomaterials can actively shape treatment outcomes within a One Health AMR framework.
