This is a match-making section for OHAMR Call for proposals 2026.

General Information

  • Type: Partner looking for project
  • Organisation: Lund University
  • Country: Sweden (SE)
  • Career stage: Other.

Research area

  • Scientific area(s) of the call:
    1. Topic 2: Develop tools and methods to improve adherence to treatment protocols.
  • One Health Setting:

    H - Human Health

    A - Animal Health
    E - Environment

  • Keywords:

antimicrobial resistance; metagenomics; strain-level analysis; One Health; AMR transmission

  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

I am an Assistant Professor at Lund University with expertise in strain-level metagenomics, antimicrobial resistance profiling, and One Health data integration. My work focuses on tracing AMR emergence, persistence, and transmission across human, animal, and environmental microbiomes using large-scale sequencing data and computational methods. I am looking to join a multidisciplinary consortium involving clinical, veterinary, agricultural, or environmental partners working on antimicrobial treatments, treatment adherence, or intervention strategies, where advanced AMR surveillance and data-driven evaluation of treatment outcomes would add value.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

I am interested in joining a consortium developing or evaluating intervention strategies to combat antimicrobial resistance from a One Health perspective. My contribution would focus on applying strain-resolved metagenomics and AMR gene tracking to assess how treatment strategies and adherence to treatment protocols influence AMR dynamics across sectors. This includes identifying reservoirs of resistant strains, monitoring the impact of interventions on AMR transmission, and supporting evidence-based optimization of treatment and stewardship strategies in human and animal health, with links to environmental dissemination.
