  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

The project involves formulating a hypothesis regarding the computational applicability of peptides for nanobody design and seeking partners with expertise in the field of nanobody design.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

Among AMR-associated pathogens, Staphylococcus aureus is one of the leading causes of hospital-acquired infections and represents a challenging target. Most antibacterial antibodies have shown only limited benefits as adjunctive therapies in combination with antibiotics, while their standalone efficacy has remained insufficient. This highlights a critical and unmet need for innovative immunotherapeutic strategies that go beyond conventional virulence factor–centric designs. Bacteriophages are one of the alternative treatment approaches that have emerged in recent years, and approach models that combine both strategies offer a solution to this challenge. This project focuses on overcoming this challenge using bacteriophages. The project is coordinated by a Technical University in Türkiye and includes partners from Portugal and Poland.
