This is a match-making section for OHAMR Call for proposals 2026.
phytopathogenic fungi; Trichoderma spp.; Clonostachys rosea
Our team’s expertise is concentrated in the field of Mycology, Plant Pathology, and Molecular Epidemiology, focusing primarily on fungi, particularly those in the genus Fusarium. Our primary areas of research and contribution include: Fungal Genomics and Population Structure Whole-Genome Sequencing (WGS) Analysis Phylogenomics Molecular Diagnostics and Quantification Developing highly sensitive molecular assays for fungal quantification. Our studies address the complexity of fungal pathogens that belong to species complexes composed of multiple cryptic species, emphasizing the necessity of WGS for high-resolution discrimination. Biological Control Agents (Biocontrol) Our current work includes assessing the quality and efficacy of commercial microbial products used in agriculture. We are also investigating the effectiveness of the native strains of Trichoderma and Clonostachys rosea against Fusarium and other plant pathogens.
We would like to join any project aiming at biocontrol of plant pathogenic fungi.
