  Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE) is Sweden\'s leading research institute and innovation partner, bringing together more than 3,300 researchers, scientists and specialists accross a wide range of disciplines. RISE welcomes new collaborations and is open to participating in the preparation of project proposals. Our multidisciplinary research teams have expertise in fields including microbiology, molecular biology, cell biology, biomaterials, 3D printing, immunology, chemistry, biochemistry, drug development, formulation, -omics, bioinformatics, AI, education, social sciences, among others. Depending on your project needs, you can collaborate with RISE experts experienced in, for example: - Antimicrobial resistance quantification through culture based methods, qPCR or metagenomic - Handling and analysis of wastewater and environmental samples - Wastewater based epidemiology - Antibiotic resistance characterization through culture based methods, PCR, sequencing or proteomics - Antimicrobial susceptibility testing - Horizontal gene transfer - Selection experiments - Biofilms - Genomic and proteomic characterization of antibiotic resistant strains - Accurate strain typing and identification - Plasmid typing and characterization - Biomarker discovery - Development of novel antimicrobial compounds - Development of methods for rapid diagnostics - Vaccine development. - Drug development and formulation. - Antimicrobial peptides.   At RISE, we are currently leading and actively participating in a range of research projects, for example, in infection control, development and evaluation of medical devices and pharmaceutical products, assessment of AMR development, discovery of biomarkers and development of methods for rapid diagnostics.
