The Vaccine Safety Initiative (VIVI) is an international, non-profit research organisation and scientific network dedicated to improving infectious disease prevention, early detection, clinical decision-making, and patient–provider communication. VIVI brings together clinical researchers, epidemiologists, behavioural scientists, and digital health specialists to co-design and implement solutions that are both scientifically robust and user-centred. Over the past decade, VIVI has developed a suite of validated digital tools—including the VIVI ScoreApp, which enables patients with respiratory infections or influenza-like illness (ILI) to self-assess disease severity and monitor symptom progression. These tools have been successfully deployed across multiple countries and EU-funded projects, demonstrating their value in enhancing treatment adherence, supporting shared decision-making, and generating high-quality real-world evidence. With a strong track record in multicentre clinical studies, human-centred design, and digital platforms for patient engagement, VIVI is well positioned to contribute to AMR-related initiatives focused on optimising adherence to antimicrobial treatment protocols.
We are interested in joining a consortium under the OHAMR 2026 call, specifically within Topic 2: development of tools and methods to improve adherence to treatment protocols. Building on digital platforms created in other EU projects—such as those developed within the ImmunisationHubs technology platform—we would like to contribute by adapting and advancing these tools to support adherence and enhance clinician–patient communication in antimicrobial treatments. We believe that integrating solutions like the VIVI ScoreApp into an AMR-focused project could offer valuable real-world monitoring, behavioural insights, and patient empowerment. If a consortium sees potential alignment with its proposal, we would be delighted to collaborate as a partner.
