E - EnvironmentCarbapenemases Aeromonas wastewater plasmids
Our group has conducted studies on the prevalence of carbapenemase producers in hospital waste, WWTPs, and water and birds with varying degrees of anthropisation. We have also studied the impact of waste consumption on birds and insects. In addition, our group has access to the genome and isolate database of the regional reference laboratory in Andalusia. Since 2013, multi-resistant isolates from hospitalised and community patients have been collected and characterised.
Conduct microbiological studies in field studies. We would also be interested in characterising plasmids and comparing them with those detected in patients.
