Laser beat mode Magnetic resonance NMR EPR
I activate in the department of Biophysics, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Craiova. My expertise lie in the laser spectroscopy, LIBS, FTIR and pump-probe experiment. In the past, I worked for a short period of time, as Software Test Engineer in Automotive. Also, I enjoy to work with electronic components and microscopy. I would like to develop a project around Laser induced Magnetic Resonance.Some ideas are on the paper but more is to be written so, please feel free to contact me (marius.varut@umfcv.ro). We propose a new system for creating RF pulses by means of a laser beam. The longitudinal modes of the laser will be adjusted to provide a beating mode in MHz-GHz range. The adjustment of the longitudinal modes will be done by adjusting the laser cavity length. The laser can function in CW but also pulsed in Q-switch or Mode-locked mode in order to obtain a high instant power. The detection system and the static magnetic field will be just like in a classical RM system.
