• Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

  Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability, and Trust (SnT) of University of Luxembourg (UniLu) conducts internationally competitive research in information and communication technology. We would like to express our interest to join a consortium as a partner owing to our deep knowledge and expertise in the satellite communication systems and space applications. As part of our activities in quantum information sciences (QIS), we are setting the "Luxembourg Quantum Communication Infrastructure Laboratory" and developing the "Luxembourg Experimental Network for Quantum Communication Infrastructure". We are also interested in theoretical aspects of QIS, e.g., characterization of quantum channels and utilization of NISQ era quantum devices for practical applications in wireless/satellite communication systems.

• Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

  We would like to join a project targetting the practical applications of NISQ era quantum computing. Specifically, we have multiple ongoing R&D activities aiming at developing software tools and testbeds for optimizing satellite resource allocation, constellation design based on realistic payload specifications and optimizing RF/optical communication links. Based on the proposal, we can build synergy with our ongoing activities to propose use cases where a practical quantum advantage may be achieved.
