Quantum entanglement Positron Emission Tomography Gamma-ray
Our group has rich experience in development of different high-energy physics detection systems, especially in the development of novel detectors for gamma-ray detection, with gamma polarimetry using Compton scattering detectors. In the past years we focused on the study of positronium annihilation and related gamma-ray correlations and their implications to fundamental science and to applications in medical imaging with Positron Emission Tomography (PET). In our laboratory we have two scintillator based gamma detection systems that can be used for fundamenal studies as well as for applied studies (PET). We also have substantial experience with Geant4 simulations of detector systems.
We have interest in joining a project covering at least one of the topics: 1) quantum-mechanical properties of positronium system 2) quantum physics implications in medical imaging with Positron Emission Tomography
