• Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

  Our group has long-standing expertise in the development of cryogenic detectors for rare-event searches. Our activities cover the full chain from material purification and crystal growth to cryostat operation, TES/SQUID readout development, and background modelling. We are interested in applying this know-how to quantum sensing, where low-temperature instrumentation, ultra-low-noise readout, and advanced material science can provide a strong contribution.

  We pioneered the purification and use of archaeological lead for producing ultra-radiopure materials and PbWO₄ crystals, which we operate as cryogenic calorimeters in the ERC-funded RES-NOVA project
