• Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

  Wave Photonics is a UK Cambridge-based start-up specialising in photonic integrated circuits (PICs). Our core technology enables rapid, fabrication process-optimised PIC design for any wavelengths and material platforms, which are particularly required by quantum tech applications (computing, sensing, communication, etc.). We have also portfolio IPs in the fields of optical transceiver, modulator, advanced packaging, including CPO (Co-package Optics). We would like to explore synergy / collaboration opportunities with potential partners for the Quantera call. We believe our expertise in photonic integrated circuit and packaging could be enabler to unlock innovations in most of the listed quantum fields: communication, computation, sensing and metrology etc.

• Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

  We would particularly like to collaborate on the projects involving the following development: - Advanced photonic circuit packaging including CPO / 3D heterogenous integration of electronics / photonics, optical interposer and fibre interconnection technologies. - Quantum sensing projects (including metrology, industrial and medical sensing devices) - Trap-ion, NV centre, Cold Atom, based Quantum technology (where PIC could be a key enabler).
