  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

Hello, I have expertise in thin film processing and advanced material engineering, with a focus on Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) for controlled growth of complex oxide and dielectric thin films. I am able to fabricate and optimize thin films such as BBO (BaB₂O₄) and other functional materials relevant to photonic and quantum applications. I have access to multiple high-power laser systems, including ArF (193 nm) and Nd:YAG lasers (multiple harmonic outputs), enabling precise control of ablation dynamics and growth conditions. Me and may colleagues have experience in material characterization, including XRD for crystal structure and texture analysis, SIMS for compositional depth profiling, spectroscopic ellipsometry for optical constants and thickness evaluation, UV-Vis spectroscopy, AFM/PFM for nanoscale morphology and piezoelectric mapping, XPS for surface chemistry, and Raman spectroscopy for structural and vibrational studies. My expertise includes investigating defect formation, phase transitions, grain boundary properties, and evaluating how structural and morphological characteristics influence optical and quantum-relevant behavior. I am looking to collaborate with partners working in quantum material simulations, quantum photonics, quantum coherence architectures, or device-level integration of functional thin films.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

I am interested in contributing to projects involving quantum materials, photon–matter interaction, and optical structures for quantum information processing. I can provide fabrication and systematic tuning of thin film architectures for photonic, plasmonic, or quantum optical environments. I can also support the structural, compositional, and functional characterization of materials across multiple platforms to identify optimal phases, defect configurations, and film morphologies relevant to quantum performance. I am open to discussions on project concepts that benefit from combining material synthesis, laser-based fabrication, and correlated multi-modal material diagnostics.
