Quantum-Enhanced Grid Forecasting for Lower Imbalance Costs & Greener Power We aim to develop quantum-enhanced forecasting tools that improve accuracy for load and renewable generation predictions, reducing grid imbalances and associated costs. The project combines hybrid AI and quantum models, integrates with balancing market mechanisms Better forecasts mean fewer carbon-intensive reserve activations, higher renewable utilization, and more stable consumer tariffs. This aligns with QuantERA’s goal of translating quantum science into practical applications and supports EU efforts for cross-border grid coordination and sustainability.
