PQC DNSSEC Algorithm benchmarking Cryptographic agility Quantum-safe cryptography
We are looking for collaborators with expertise in post-quantum cryptography (PQC), particularly NIST-standardized algorithms and libraries like Open Quantum Safe. Familiarity with DNS and DNSSEC protocols, including signing and validation processes, is essential. Additional experience with secure transport protocols, cryptographic performance analysis, or Internet standards (e.g., IETF) is a plus.
This project focuses on testing and validating the integration of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) algorithms within the Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) framework. The goal is to assess the interoperability, performance, and security implications of transitioning DNS security to quantum-resistant cryptography. Although the project does not directly involve quantum computation or physical quantum systems, it plays a critical role in securing classical infrastructure against future quantum threats. This project focuses on the subdomain of quantum-safe cryptography and quantum threat mitigation for network protocols. The project will explore novel quantum algorithms and address challenges that hinder the application of quantum technologies on the Internet.
