  We work on the simulation of photonics devices for quantum technology applications, such as chip-based integrated waveguides for light delivery to atom/ion traps, or microcavities and cavity QED for light-matter interaction. Expertise in quantum optics, nonlinear optics, optical waveguides and optical fibres, gratings/grating couplers, etc., and corresponding theoretical and numerical tools.

• Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

  I’m open to projects across a fairly wide range of topics in the area of photonics for quantum. Ideally working in close collaboration with experimental groups, where we collaborate closely to simulate, design, fabricate, optimise and demonstrate devices for quantum technology.
