Stakeholder analysis impact planning science communication impact evaluation
The Institute for Methods Innovation (IMI) is a nonprofit organisation supporting evidence-based decision-making through practical research, evaluation, and engagement. With offices in Ireland, the United States, and Estonia, IMI works internationally to help partners apply social science methods to improve outcomes in fields such as policy, education, public engagement, and science communication. As a trusted partner on European Commission-funded projects, IMI brings extensive experience in Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, Interreg, and Horizon2020 initiatives. Recent collaborations include projects on citizen participation (EU-CIEMBLY), sustainability and public opinion on hydrogen (HYPOP), gender equity in science (FEMLEAD), and stakeholder engagement and ethical integration in the rare earth supply chain (REMHub). IMI offers tailored services across four main areas: research (including design and stakeholder analysis), impact (such as theory of change and ethical evaluation), public engagement (from participatory methods to science communication), and training (including capacity building, grant writing, and educational content development). IMI combines academic expertise with real-world application, to deliver robust, actionable evidence that supports strategy and learning. Its interdisciplinary team brings depth in social science and humanities (SSH), with a commitment to ethical and inclusive research. From designing robust methodologies to building partners’ own capacity through training, IMI supports the full project lifecycle. This makes IMI a valuable consortium partner for organisations seeking practical, high-quality input on research, evaluation, and engagement within EU-funded programmes.
