• Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

  We have vast expertise in applying various phytochemical substances (isolated compounds, essential oils, extracts) in vivo and in vitro for anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant effects. We also aim to extend our knowledge and include probiotics in to the study designs. We have airway and lung cells, also 3D tissue models of airways and lung parenchyma and animal (mice, rat) models as a testing sites for novel strategies. We also have access to clinical material (BALF, biopsies, nasal swabs etc.). Clinical trial are also possible at our site.

• Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

  Novel antimicrobial agents as a combination of probiotics and antibiotics. Mainly targeting respiratory tract and combining plant-derived and similar compounds. Full range of studies, i.e. in vitro studies with addition of in vivo and clinical trials.
