My experimental and theoretical research addresses functional and theoretical aspects of microbial and human metabolism. An innovative contribution of my work is the establishment of a new perspective and methodology to the discovery and analysis of small molecule mechanisms of action and evolution of adaptive strategies. My research led to unique high-throughput metabolomics frameworks 1 2 and computational tools 2 3 broadly applicable to diverse biological systems and applicative areas, opening new opportunities in systems biology and chemical genetics.
Projects involving mechanistic modeling of drug mechanism action, or predictive algorithms for effective drug combinations and unbiased multidimensional profiling (e.g. transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics) of small molecules effects.
