    Professor of Microbial Biotechnology at the University of Ulster, UK. Has >35 years’ experience in academic and research institutions in Europe and internationally and had several active collaborative projects within the EU and other international academic and industrial establishments. Research interests include biosurfactant and bio-actives production and potential utilization in biomedical, pharmaceutical, health and cosmetics related applications. Has >320 publications (H-Index = 90) and >35,500 citation according to google scholar.

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

    Projects looking to explore biosurfactants as antimicrobial compounds and as adjuvants or excipients to antibiotics or other antimicrobial drug disrupting molecules. I also am interested in producing deuterated antibiotics as method to overcome existing resistance and to rejuvenate the use existing antibiotics.
