  • Brief description of your expertise / expertise you are looking for:

Presently, handling two Indo- UK projects as Principal Investigator on (1) Diagnostic for One-health and User Driven Solutions for AMR (DOSA) & (2) North Eastern State One health Study on Transmission Dynamics of Antimicrobial Resistance (NEOSTAR) jointly funded by ESRC, UK and DBT, GoI, New Delhi, wherein we found that a significant number of antibiotic resistance pathogens (AMR) such as MRSA, MRS and ESBL producing Enterobacteriaceae and antibiotic residues (chloramphenicol, sulfonamides, tetracyclines, nitrofurans and cephems) in aquaculture, retail markets fish and its environment. Developed DPA kit for the detection of antibiotic residues from fish, water, feed and pond sediment and also developed SOP for the isolation of AMR pathogens (ESKAPE) from the environmental samples (fish, water, sediment, feed and sewage).

  • Brief description of your project / the project you would like to join:

Network of laboratories working on surveillance and diagnosis of WHO listed top 6 priority AMR pathogens isolation, identification, AST, determination of MIC, ARGs detection and NGS for AMR surveillance & its proper diagnostics in animal and environmental settings for the effective implementation of AMR Stewardship control strategies in this settings
