The Network will also model, using published evidence and Delphi techniques, the value of C-reactive Protein (CRP) as a negative prognostic diagnostic test in those patients with negative Covid 19 and Influenza to avoid prescribing of antibiotics at the index consultation with a healthcare clinician. Through workshops and consensus groups the Network will develop an algorithm for managing patients presenting with symptoms of RTI and incorporate this into a White Paper. Barriers to implementation will be considered and good practice examples from countries employing OSPOCT will be identified. Further research questions and health technology assessments will be identified. Dissemination and publications will be undertaken together with assessable outputs from this process.
