DFG representatives visit Krakow

At the end of May dr Guido Lammers and dr Christian Schaich, representatives  of the German Research Foundation (DFG), visited the National Science Centre. Among the many applications submitted under the HARMONIA funding scheme for international research projects, some of the most common are proposals for German-Polish research cooperation. Therefore members of the DFG talked with NCN representatives about future cooperation in research.

Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, The German Research Foundation) is a German research funding organisation, supporting research in all academic disciplines. The DFG is particularly concerned with the promotion of young researchers in ensuring they get equal opportunities for developing their research career. Moreover, the organisation also inspires interdisciplinary and international research as well as projects carried out in cooperation with industry. The DFG’s mission also includes conveying scientific findings to the public.
