Friday, 15 June 2012

The National Science Centre is pleased to announce new editions of the MAESTRO and HARMONIA funding opportunities. The deadline for submitting proposals is scheduled for 15th September 2012.

MAESTRO is a funding scheme addressed to established scientists who hold a doctoral degree and have already notable scientific achievements in their portfolio. Projects should aim to carry out pioneering research, including interdisciplinary research which is important for the development of science. Projects within this funding scheme should surpass the current state of knowledge, lead to the creation of a new paradigm, or forge pathways to new frontiers in that field.

HARMONIA is a funding opportunity for applicants wanting to carry out research in cooperation with foreign partners. The main criteria for proposal evaluation are the scientific excellence of the research and the significance for the development of science and humanities, as well as the added value through international cooperation.
