Mathematics Representatives at the NCN

On the occasion of the 6th European Congress of Mathematics on 4th July the National Science Centre hosted the 11th Mathematics Representatives Meeting attended by scientists working in  agencies supporting research in Europe and worldwide.

Discussions covered topics such as the financing of mathematical research projects, the position of mathematical research in the new framework programme Horizon 2020 and the future of the European Science Foundation. One of the speakers was professor Zbigniew Błocki, a representative of the NCN Council, who made a presentation on the NCN’s funding schemes and the system of evaluating research projects.
