Researchers from Poland awarded funding under the HERA Cultural Encounters funding opportunity

We are pleased to report that four international research projects involving the participation of research teams from Poland have been selected under the Cultural Encounters funding opportunity announced by the NCN together with the HERA network. The following projects will be carried out in Polish host institutions:

1. Cultural Exchange in a time of global conflict: Colonials, Neutrals and Belligerents during the First World War

Polish Principal Investigator: prof. Hubert van den Berg

Host Institution: Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan

2. Music migrations in the early modern age: the meeting of the European East, West and South

Polish Principal Investigators: prof. Barbara Przybyszewska-Jarmińska and prof. Alina Żórawska-Witkowska

Host Institution: Institute of Art, Polish Academy of Sciences, University of Warsaw

3. Defining and Identifying Middle Eastern Christian Communities in Europe

Polish Principal Investigator: dr Marta Woźniak

Host Institution: University of Lodz

4. Marrying Cultures – Queens Consort and European Identities 1500-1800

Polish Principal Investigator: dr Almut Bues

Host Institution: German Historical Institute in Warsaw
