dr Małgorzata Zawiślak

 

Graduated from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, where she earned her MSc degree in biology. She subsequently worked as a Specialist at Kielanowski Institute of Animal Physiology and Nutrition, the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS), at Jabłonna, and prepared her doctoral dissertation at the Institute of Genetics and Animal Breeding, PAS, at Jastrzębiec. She received her doctorate in agricultural science from her original alma mater at Jabłonna, where she remained on the faculty staff for two years. Her dissertation on regulating the activity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis in sheep during lactation won her the 1st Prize of the Polish Society of Animal Production.

She has participated in several research projects in animal physiology, including her own grant under the National Science Centre’s PRELUDIUM programme. She has done research abroad during her fellowships: at the Institute of Experimental Medicine, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, in Budapest; at the Institute of Experimental Endocrinology, the Slovak Academy of Sciences, in Bratislava. Dr Małgorzata Zawiślak has authored a number of publications in journals recognised by the ISI Master Journal List, and delivered a few dozen presentations at Polish and international conferences. Since November 2017, she has worked for the National Science Centre as Coordinator for Life Sciences.
